The Philadelphia Association of Paralegals (PAP) held its 1Q luncheon and board induction ceremony on Feb. 19 at the Sofitel Philadelphia. PAP promotes the paralegal profession and encourages individual excellence in skills and abilities through education and networking. PAP was honored to welcome the 2019 Philadelphia Bar Association Chancellor Rochelle “Shelli” M. Fedullo, to administer the oath of office to the 2019 incoming board members.

Fedullo also spoke on the long-standing relationship between PAP and the Philadelphia Bar Association. PAP has partnered with the Philadelphia Bar Association on several projects, including pro bono and the access to justice. Additionally, PAP is again partnering with the Philadelphia Bar Association by offering 2019 memberships to both associations at a discounted rate. Fedullo discussed the mentoring, working and coaching initiatives by the Philadelphia Bar Association and the similar critical need for paralegals to serve as leaders and mentors to those new to the profession. Fedullo addressed the role of soft skills in the workplace as invaluable traits in your paralegal career. We look forward to continuing our work with the Philadelphia Bar Association in 2019, including connecting on pro bono projects as well as continuing legal education.
