DETAILS:
The Recorder’s Legal Department of the Year Awards recognize the standout legal departments among emerging and large companies (annual revenue > $1 billion). We are looking to honor innovative and effective approaches to continuing and emerging in-house challenges and seek nominations in these seven areas:
Data and Security
Patent Strategy
Product Counseling
M&A
Litigation
Regulatory and Compliance
Legal Operations
We will also name an overall Legal Department of the Year in the emerging and large company categories.
RULES:
1. Fill out the survey that follows, being sure to include specific examples and details that can help you make your case.
2. If you don’t work at the company you are nominating, skip any questions you can’t answer.
3. Enter at least three categories, and up to all seven, to be in the running for overall Legal Department of the Year.
4. The contest year runs from July 2014 through June 2015. Please focus your nomination on achievements in that period. Include specific examples of the outcomes and/or cost savings obtained.

Winners Announced – September 18
Awards Reception in November
